1. Turn ON Radio

  • Using the Switch on the bottom left, PULL to turn the radio on.
  • The dial lights of the radio will come on.
  • WAIT about one minute for the radio vacuum tubes to warm up.
  • If there is no sound the radio tuning dial will need adjusting, the volume turned up or the selector switch positioned for radio
  • For tuning see below

2. Turn ON Bluetooth

  • Using the LOWER RIGHT Switch turn the bluetooth on by switching to the RIGHT
  • The Bluetooth connection sound will be audible
  • Bluetooth is now connected to the amplifier circuit of the radio.
  • Bluetooth is XFW-BT
  • Pair your phone or other smart device
  • Sound from your device will now play through the radio.
  • The sound level can be controlled by the volume control or your smart device.

3. Turn Radio / Bluetooth off

  • Push the LOWER LEFT SWITCH in. This turns off all power to the unit.

The push button mechanism has been adjusted and labelled to come close to these current stages. Fine tuning is required to bring the tuning on station

Tuning the Radio into AM stations 

With the LOWER RIGHT SWITCH turned to the left the Broadcast band or AM is connected is  connected to the amplifier circuit.   

There a several AM stations in Southern Tasmania. Most regional radio stations have ceased to exist or change to FM. Current stations do not line up old dial positions.

Troubleshooting

No Radio sound      Is the On/ Off switch turned on?   Have you used the tuning dial to locate a radio station? Is the volume turned down?

No light in tuning dial  Is the on/Off switch turned on? Is the Console plugged into the wall socket?

Cannot connect to smart device    Is the console turned on?  Is the bluetooth switch turned clockwise?  Have you paired to your device?

No sound from smart device     Is the volume on the console turned down?

Sound from Console Speakers is crackly     This is the normal and special sound of classic radio!
